# Lexamed: guided tester walkthrough

## 1. Welcome

Welcome to your Lexamed test session. This walkthrough guides one physician through a fictional case, from upload to a saved report. Allow about an hour, and pause the video whenever you need time to complete a step. Use fictional records only. The screens shown are from the application using synthetic test data.

## 2. Prepare

Before you begin, prepare a small fictional packet, ideally twenty to fifty pages. Include several dated encounters, an imaging report, and a scanned page. Write down five facts and their page numbers before looking at the software output. Also choose one question the packet cannot answer. Keep the original PDF beside Lexamed. Your job is to check accuracy, persistence, and ease of use, not just whether a screen loads.

## 3. Sign in

Open lexamed dot A I slash pilot. Enter your own name, practice, email, and a unique password. Read the displayed terms and complete email verification. Then sign in to your workspace. The test uses fictional records even if the website describes real productions. If the verification email does not arrive, record that as a blocker and ask your session host for help. Pause here until you can sign in.

## 4. Upload

Create a new case and clearly mark it fictional. Open that case, add a record production, and upload your test packet. Check the filenames and page counts. Select Process, then Get dollar estimate, review the displayed estimate, and choose Confirm estimate and process. Follow Processing updates until the records are ready. Processing time can vary, so pause the video here. If the job fails, save the error and avoid repeatedly restarting it.

## 5. Review sources

Open the review workspace and find the five facts from your answer key in the chronology. Click each source citation to inspect the original page. Compare the date, finding, and page number with the PDF. For the unanswered question, check that missing evidence stays uncertain. Do not accept a confident answer just because it sounds plausible. A wrong source page or an unsupported medical assertion is a reason to stop and investigate.

## 6. Save a correction

Correct one chronology entry using the actual fictional source. Save the correction, leave the page, and return. Confirm that your wording remains and that the source citation still points to the right evidence. Note whether you needed help finding the edit and save controls. This step passes only when the change survives navigation. Pause and complete this check before moving on.

## 7. Write

From the case, open the report production workspace. In Write and preview, choose a report section such as History of Injury. Enter a short physician-written summary and add the supporting source page numbers. Select Save report writing and compare the saved text with the live preview. Clinical conclusions use their own section controls. Save there before switching sections. Check that unsaved work is clearly flagged rather than silently discarded.

## 8. Examination

Open Examination. Enter fictional examination findings and one measurement, including the value, unit, and side when appropriate. Select Save examination. Use Append saved examination to report only when you intend to insert those findings. Return to the relevant report section, inspect the inserted text, and save the report writing. Check that the measurement and laterality match exactly what you entered.

## 9. Versions

Open Versions and delivery. Add a brief version note and save an immutable report version. Return to writing, change one fictional finding, save the document, and create a second version. Expand version two and choose Compare with version one. The comparison should show your exact change. Version one must remain unchanged. If unsaved writing blocks a version, save that writing first instead of working around the warning.

## 10. Word workflow

There is a separate Word workflow called Report versions and checks. Return to the case and open it. Generate a new version, run checks on that version, and download the checked draft. In Word, edit one sentence and save the file. Back in Lexamed, open Check an edited Word report and upload it as a new version. Run checks again and inspect the change. This Word history is separate from the authoring snapshots you just compared.

## 11. Review findings

Open Review before export. Read the unresolved findings and choose one to turn into a linked task. Confirm that it belongs to the right case and describes the remaining work. If you record a draft review, read the acknowledgement carefully. Recording that review does not resolve outstanding findings. When saved content changes, expect to review the current report again. Keep the findings visible while deciding what still needs correction.

## 12. Approve

Return to Versions and delivery and expand the version you intend to approve. Load its saved preview and download the exact version. Inspect the file, confirm the current review requirements, and enter an approval note before approving it. Approval belongs to that saved version, not every later edit. For this test, use only the fictional draft. An approval here does not apply a signature or establish legal service.

## 13. Recipient access

Select the approved version and enter yourself as the test recipient. Review the recipient-specific approval and create access. Copy the private link and keep the access code separate. Open the link in a private browser, enter the code, and download the report. Compare it with the approved file. Then acknowledge receipt and check the delivery status in Lexamed. Do not send this test to an outside recipient or assume that creating access sends an email.

## 14. Optional intake

For an optional second pass, open Applicant intake and create a fictional applicant invitation. Use a private browser to enter the questionnaire answers. Return as the physician, refresh the responses, and record your review. Append the reviewed responses only when you choose to. Check that applicant statements remain clearly attributed. They should not silently become verified physician findings.

## 15. Finish

Finish by signing out and giving your session host the three biggest problems. For each one, record the step, what you expected, what happened, and any time lost. Include an error message or a screenshot containing fictional data only. Say whether you could recover without help. A successful test means the core workflow works, citations check out, edits persist, and the correct report exports. That supports another fictional-data trial. It does not establish clinical accuracy or permission to use patient records.
